Here is my HTPC spec - more than enough power for playing 1080p & full blu-ray rips.
- Motherboard = Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H. This has onboard HDMI, which was originally the reason why i purchased the board. Sadly, the onboard graphics just were not up to the job for full 1080p, 90% of the time all is ok, but i did experience some stuttering, so decided to get another graphics card This mob also comes with optical out for audio, a must.
- Chassis = Antec Fusion Remote Max. nice looking case, absolute pain in the arse to setup. the documentation is anything but correct, hooking up the LCD screen was a complete nightmare, which I down even use now... I regret buying this case, but its installed now!
- CPU = Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz. That's enough horsepower for me thanks.
- RAM = 4GB
- OS = Windows 7 7600 RTM Ultimate
- Graphics = Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT 1 GB. Nice.
- Storage = ReadyNAS PRO 8TB
- Amp = SONY STR-DA2400ES
- Speakers = Sony DAVS SC8
- Remote = Logitech Harmony One
- Hauppauge HD PVR
- Thompson Sky HD+ Box
- TV = Samsung 52" LCD-TV LE52A656
- FreeSAT Card = Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2 229
